Steitz Secura presented with the iF DESIGN AWARD for its brand new safety shoe
STEITZ SECURA has won this year’s iF DESIGN AWARD and is thus now among the winners of this world-renowned design label.
The eye-catching red CP 4360 ESD safety shoe with a modern sneaker look received the award in the Product Design category.
The 78-member, independent, international jury of experts was impressed not only by the shoe’s appearance, but also by the exclusive built-in innovative Vital Back system, Steitz Secura’s own fitting method, which includes four widths and an unexcelled foot climate technology.
The shoe represents the flagship of the brand new COMPETITION series.
These models are hallmarked by their light weight and fresh design and are made of new high-tech materials, which combine properties of extreme robustness and breathability. All models have a new asymmetrically shaped toe cap made of composite materials, which are in no way inferior to conventional steel caps as regards its protective characteristics. The dynamic appearance and outstanding traction-promoting structure are impressive features of the new sole design.

Unbelievable but true. The courage to explore new paths has been fully rewarded.
Following on from the outstanding design prizes for the top shoe model BLACK BEAST, such as the Reddot Design Award, the German Design Award and the Design Prize of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate, the marketing performance of STEITZ SECURA has also been acknowledged. By winning the German Brand Award 2018 in the category “Excellence in Brand Strategy, Management and Creation-Brand Design” the new brand image “Make an impression” has also received an award. “This makes us really proud and is a great honour for us,” says Thomas Wagner, Marketing Manager at Steitz Secura.
What makes the difference where alternative advertising is concerned? It’s especially the more emotional approach to the customer. Emphasis was specifically placed on a marketing concept that above and beyond all other media, blazes a new trail in the trade. What type of communication was found in the safety at work sector? Flat regurgitated advertising with replaceable attitudes and non-profiled advertising claims. Dispassionate and typical German mid-market B2B advertising. Based on the motto “Wash me but don’t make me wet”. We wanted to clearly counteract this trend. For this you need a considerable amount of courage.

The jury of the reddot Design Award, one of the world’s most recognized hallmarks of product quality, was impressed by the uniqueness of our microfibre, black safety shoe in smooth leather look.
After winning the German Design Award 2018 and the Design Award of the State of Rhineland-Palatinate in 2017, our design wonder was presented with the reddot Product Design Award.
We are of course delighted and very proud of one of our pick of the bunch.
A new quality of design meets safety.

Present a clear profile
Make your mark; stand out; be remembered: Mission accomplished!
Under the slogan “Make an impression”, Steitz Secura provided several eye openers at A+A 2017. The magnet for over 2,000 national and international trade visitors and journalists was the unusual, two-storey trade stand in the shape of a black cube. Visitors were welcomed in the foyer of the stand by a specially designed shoe sculpture for the fair, an organic shape, which extended over 2 floors, consisting of 600 floating, red-white presentation elements, inspired by the shape of the human spine.
The complete product range from the brand new catalogue was placed on the stylized spine, which impressed the visitors. The imposing, tapered stairs in the centre of the trade stand provided an exhibition area for everyone who climbed them.
Visitors to the trade fair experienced a reunion with all motifs and statements of the new, large-scale Steitz Secura communication campaign 2017, including high quality murals in the conference zones and a colossal film on the ground floor of the trade stand. In this way, the new brand awareness for Steitz Secura could also be experienced by the visitors to the trade fair in a tactile and sustained manner. Which also left its mark.
BLACK BEAST on the up
The brand new safety shoe from Steitz Secura with the unusual name BLACK BEAST, sets new standards for design and comfort.
On 15 November 2017, the black safety shoe in microfiber with a smooth leather appearance and in a cool carbon look was awarded the Design Prize of the Land of Rhineland Palatinate in the Product Design Category.
After winning the German Design Award 2018, this has been the second award within 4 weeks.
The jury was delighted, and wrote in its statement:
“At first glance it’s hard to believe that Steitz Secura’s Black Beast is one of the lightest safety shoes in its class on the market. In addition, it has an integrated vital back system that promotes back health.”
