FOCUS COMPETITION PART 1 – Works.

Cushioning and energy return? Two properties that are actually completely mutually exclusive in the way they function. If you look at a person’s walking economy, you will notice that these two factors can interact significantly.

FOCUS COMPETITION PART 1 – Works.

The sequence of steps when walking – a procedure that is carried out thousands of times a day, whether on a building site, in logistics or in a trade – always follows the same pattern.

When stepping on, the heel area of the foot is subjected to a great deal of stress. This results in stress peaks that reach into the neck and head area. With our unique SECURA VARIO™ heel cushioning, which can be adjusted to the weight of the wearer, we effectively cushion this impact and sustainably protect the entire musculoskeletal system.

In the second part of the running sequence, an even load is applied to the entire tread surface. Here the foot stabilises and prepares for the next step, the push-off.

FOCUS COMPETITION PART 1 – Works. 2

To achieve this, we have integrated so-called rebound material into the midsole in the midfoot and forefoot area, which has a high energy return rate. The wearer thus experiences noticeable support and has to exert significantly less effort with each step. Thanks to this sophisticated technology, rapid muscle fatigue is significantly minimised even during long distances or a long day at work.

In combination with the newly designed, lightweight and flexible COMPETITION outsole made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), the COMPETITION models offer the highest technological innovations and an excellent look at the same time.

The outsole impresses with its dynamic design in sneakers look and provides high abrasion resistance as well as a reactive tread design for more slip resistance and an optimal footprint. The 3 mm thick tread is also heat-resistant up to approx. 120 °C. The increased anti-kink protection in the heel area as well as a weight-reduced sole design give the wearer the necessary stability and flexibility to compensate for daily walking stresses on natural or hard industrial floors.
