The lightweight, quick-drying, vegan and chrome-free EXTRAGUARD upper material from our partner GORE-TEX® takes comfort, protection and sustainability to a whole new level. Thanks to its innovative structure, the material remains permanently lightweight – even when wet. It dries quickly and is particularly easy to care for. At the same time, it reduces heat loss, ensures a comfortable foot climate and impresses with its durability. GORE-TEX®
GORE-TEX® stands for high-end expertise in climate comfort. The secret to its success is inside: the GORE-TEX® membrane – an extremely thin layer with approximately 1.4 million micropores per square centimetre. These pores are 20,000 times smaller than water droplets but 700 times larger than water vapour molecules. The result: water vapour can escape from the inside, but water cannot penetrate. STEITZ SECURA works closely with GORE-TEX® to ensure that our safety shoes are of the highest quality, waterproof and breathable at the same time. To achieve this, our shoes undergo repeated rigorous testing.
