The new DURO GUARD series combines proven STEITZ SECURA features with a variety of innovative functions. Depending on the application, you can find all the required safety standards within a single footwear range. Robust leather styles are suitable for heavy-duty use, while lightweight microfibre versions are ideal for warehouses, drylining or scaffolding. The DURO GUARD series is designed without steel or aluminium toe caps. This makes them completely metal-free (except styles with SMC) and noticeably lighter.
Some styles of the DURO GUARD series feature a lightweight, waterrepellent microfibre upper.
Some styles in the DURO GUARD series are equipped with high-quality leather. It keeps the foot breathable and comfortably dry even in wet conditions. Selected styles also feature a GORE-TEX® lining, providing complete waterproof protection.
The midfoot is often left unprotected against falling objects. The SECURA META COVER (SMC) by STEITZ SECURA provides an effective solution through a flexible material that instantly hardens upon impact, helping to protect the midfoot from injury.

The highlight of the sole is the integrated flex zone in the forefoot joint area. A softer, more flexible Perbunan material is used here, while the rest of the sole is made of firmer Perbunan. This intelligent combination of different materials ensures targeted flexibility, noticeable relief for the joints and maximum comfort, whether walking or standing. The coarse-treaded outsole guarantees excellent slip resistance on a wide variety of surfaces and gives the sole its distinctive, secure stability. In combination with the proven STEITZ SECURA multi-width system, the PERBUNAN MULTI FLEX sole actively contributes to injury prevention and long-lasting well-being. The new outsole is being used for the first time in the styles of the new DURO GUARD series – for comfort, safety and stability at the highest level.
Almost all DURO GUARD styles are equipped with a non-metallic penetration-resistant insole. It protects the foot from below against sharp or pointed objects lying on the ground. A tightly woven textile layer provides an alternative to a steel midsole, with the key advantage being its lower weight. Under the new EN ISO 20345:2024 standard, penetration resistance is indicated by the following classifications:
S = tested with a 3 mm nail
L = tested with a 4.5 mm nail
STEITZ SECURA combines its textile penetration-resistant insole with the company’s proprietary SECURA VARIO® cushioning system. The textile insert is routed over the heel cushioning module and can be lifted using a specially designed tab, allowing the module to be replaced when required. We are proud of this innovation, as it combines advanced technology with ergonomics and ensures back health and overall wearer comfort.
The DURO GUARD leather styles stand out with premium craftsmanship and excellent skin compatibility. Leather naturally wicks moisture to the outside while remaining water-repellent. Selected versions feature a GORE-TEX® lining, delivering complete waterproof protection while keeping the foot breathable. The SECURA META COVER (SMC) is a unique solution for protecting the midfoot area. While the toes are safeguarded guarded against falling objects by the protective toe cap, the middle part of the foot typically remains unprotected. The soft, breathable and extremely flexible material integrated inside the shoe instantly hardens upon impact. As a result, SMC provides highly effective protection for the midfoot, significantly reducing the risk of injury from falling loads.
The microfibre styles of the DURO GUARD series are noticeably lighter – making them ideal for jobs that involve prolonged walking or standing. The upper material is resistant to water and yet breathable. Different closure options allow you to choose the shoe that best suits your individual preferences.
The popular COMPETITION series from STEITZ SECURA is renowned for its lightweight styles and sporty design. One of our existing bestsellers is now available with the innovative BOA® Fit System. Simply slip them on, turn the dial and stay safe and comfortable throughout the working day. The CP 4400 BOA SF is completely metal-free and features a lightweight composite toe cap as well as a textile penetration-resistant insole. This makes it the perfect choice for warehouses, workshops and many other working environments. The CP 4315 BOA is also equipped with the BOA® Fit System. As an occupational shoe, it does not feature a protective toe cap, but still offers the well-known STEITZ SECURA benefits, including the fitting system and the SECURA VARIO® cushioning system.
The lightweight, quick-drying, vegan and chrome-free EXTRAGUARD upper material from our partner GORE-TEX® takes comfort, protection and durability to a whole new level. Thanks to its innovative structure, the material remains permanently lightweight – even when wet. It dries quickly and is particularly easy to care for. At the same time, it reduces heat loss, ensures a comfortable foot climate and impresses with its durability. EXTRAGUARD thus stands for modern wearing comfort, functional protection and performance.
Extremely robust, featuring warm thermal insulation that keeps feet warm without causing them to sweat and available with or without the BOA® Fit System – these are our safety boots for winter. A range of safety and comfort features provides reassurance and peace of mind, while ensuring full compliance with all required safety standards. We have completely redesigned our successful winter style with side zip. The GRÖNLAND BAU II winter boot offers exceptional wearing comfort while providing outstanding protection against cold and wet conditions.
Our fire service range comprises styles designed for a variety of operational areas and requirements. These include entry-level styles such as the FIRE GUARDIAN and the FIRE WALKER III, which are particularly suitable for use by volunteer fire brigades, as well as technically advanced styles, such as the FIRE FIGHTER III GTX. The FIRE FIGHTER III GTX is also available with cut protection and is now offered in a version featuring EXTRAGUARD (EXT) upper material from GORE-TEX®.
Sawing work – for example in forestry operations – requires special protection. The upper material for our new chainsaw boot has a material thickness of 2,4 mm, making it particularly robust. It stops the cut of a chainsaw at speeds of up to 24 m/s, ensuring that the foot remains reliably protected. The integrated GORE-TEX® lining makes it permanently waterproof and breathable at the same time – for safe and comfortable use in all weather conditions.
You can rely on VARIO DYNAMICS. For many years, these styles have proven themselves in daily use and this year, the range is being expanded with new and innovative products. The new styles have a modern look and are equipped with the proven outsole TPU Athletic. They are exceptionally lightweight and contain the SECURA VARIO® cushioning system, which absorbs the shock of every step and relieves the musculoskeletal system – perfect for long hours of walking or standing. The water-repellent microfibre upper ensures durability in everyday use. This all-in-one concept makes the footwear versatile and suitable for a wide variety of applications.
